Our Story

"Dresses as perfect for vacation as they are for picking the kids up from school"

Hello Friend – I’m so glad you’re here!

Life has many seasons!  Would you ever believe I started my career as an investment banker at a large Wall Street bank and that I decided to ditch my finance career for fashion exactly 10 years ago!?

"I decided to turn my love for textiles and passion for beautiful prints into a business that brings joy to the every day"

I'd just finished my MBA when my husband and I were transferred to Dubai, which inevitably propelled me into the fashion industry - literally overnight.

"My passport said 'housewife, not allowed to work' so I decided at that moment to start my own business."

Fast forward 1 year and we were transferred yet again, this time from Dubai to London. At this point, I'd launched my own label of special occasion dresses, AG Phillips, which I sold to upscale boutiques and retailers all over the U.S. including Neiman Marcus and other fashion powerhouses.  I continued doing this business until 2020, when the pandemic hit and sadly, no one needed special occasion dresses anymore.

I took the year off to pivot and to follow where my heart was already naturally heading and in 2021, I launched Rosie Cotswolds- a direct-to-consumer, small batch, sustainable collection.

My goal was to create a collection of high quality, feminine dresses inspired by the English countryside (where my ancestors are from) that could be worn every day and season after season.

"As a busy mom of two, I wanted to create a business where I could look chic and feel good every day and be able to wear a colorful dress that would take me from carpool to cocktails."

Each Rosie Cotswolds' print draws inspiration from the English countryside to create sustainable, colorful, one-of-a-kind pieces for women, children and the home.  Crafted in 100% Better Cotton Initiative cotton from Italy, I wanted the dresses to not only look beautiful but to also feel great, be easy to wear and be machine washable.

"I design each silhouette with the most flattering cuts that give appropriate balance to both the garment and body so that my customers love the way they look and feel."

I adore my customers and love being able to create pieces that make them feel beautiful and bring joy to their day!

On a personal note, my husband and I decided to move to Nashville almost a year ago, with our two boys (ages 2 and 4).  I went to Vanderbilt, and I've always love music city, so we bought a house here, sight-unseen and set off on a new adventure! We love playing in the yard, meeting new friends and trying all of the amazing restaurants here!

Thank you for sharing in this new adventure and season of life with me!
